Lattice Rider NEPHILA

Balance your mobility and your bombs!

Lattice Rider NEPHILA is a polygonal 2D shooting game made for Bullet Hell Jam 2023, featuring crisp polygonal graphics, a unique lattice bomb system, and medal juggling scoring.

Controls

• FIRE: Z/J/left face button.
• BOMB: X/K/top face button. This will shrink your movement lattice, and you can only do this if no two corners of the lattice are too close to one another.
• ROTATE SCREEN: Tab/Back/Select (both tate orientations and standard yoko supported).

Development

All assets are original and made for the jam except the following:

• Ocean floor texture (made by me for a prior project)
• Music and sound effects by Dracue (the legends!!!), from their "2D SciFi Shooter" Unreal Marketplace pack (which I still cannot believe existed). Unfortunately this is no longer available, presumably due to Dracue's closure.
• Bitmap text sourced from Foone Turing's Death Generator, specifically from the following:
  • Bakutoushi Patton-kun by Soft Pro
  • DoDonPachi by Cave
  • Pac-Man Arrangement by Namco
